GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

TICKETS TO MONUMENTS IN NÎMES MANAGED BY AURA ROMANITÉ

PREAMBLE:
Any ticket order placed on the website www.arenes-nimes.com or in person
constitutes exclusive acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale. The company
reserves the right to amend or modify these
General Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time. In the event of any changes, the General Terms and Conditions of Sale in effect on the date the
order is placed will apply to each
order.

ARTICLE 1 – VISITOR SAFETY, INFORMATION, AND
LIABILITY

1.1 Legal Status of the Monument
The monument being visited is a historic monument classified as such
, owned by the City of Nîmes, and subject to the provisions of the Heritage
Code, particularly with regard to conservation, restoration, and development.
Any work or modification to the site is strictly regulated and requires
authorization from the government, specifically from the Architecte des Bâtiments de France.

1.2 Risks Inherent in the Visit
Due to the monument’s age and the legal and heritage-related restrictions associated
with its designation, certain areas accessible to the public present inherent risks
, including the absence of guardrails or protective barriers that comply with
current standards, as well as areas at height or with vertical drops.
The installation of additional safety measures is either legally prohibited or
physically impossible, as it would compromise the integrity or authenticity of
the listed monument. These characteristics constitute permanent, visible risks that
are inseparable from the site’s heritage status.

1.3 Prior Notification to Visitors
The visitor acknowledges having been clearly and fully informed, prior to purchasing a ticket
and/or upon entering the monument, of the existence of these risks through these
general terms and conditions of sale, through signage and information
panels installed on the site, through the information printed on the back of the tickets, and, where applicable, through verbal instructions
provided during guided tours.

1.4 Visitor
Obligations and Conduct Whether the visit is self-guided or guided, it is the visitor’s
personal responsibility, and the visitor agrees to:

  • behave in a careful, respectful manner appropriate for a historic landmark,
  • Strictly follow the authorized routes, signage, and instructions for
  • safety,
  • Do not enter areas that are off-limits or not open to the public,
  • Do not engage in behavior that could endanger yourself or others, or damage the monument.

Minors remain under the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times.

1.5 Legal Framework and Liability
In accordance with Article 1242 of the Civil Code, the principles applicable to public works
, and the specific rules governing classified monuments, the City ensures the normal maintenance
of the monument and implements reasonable information and prevention
measures consistent with its preservation.
However, the City shall not be held liable in the event of
an accident or damage resulting from:

  • failure to follow safety and traffic rules,
  • careless, dangerous, or inappropriate behavior on the part of the visitor,
  • or the occurrence of a risk inherent to the listed monument, which has been clearly brought to
the public’s attention and cannot be eliminated without compromising
    its heritage integrity.

(Secure Socket Layer) protocol and is never transmitted in plain text over the network. Payment is
processed directly through the bank. AURA Romanité does not have access to
this information under any circumstances and does not store it on its servers. This is why you are
asked to re-enter your information for each new transaction on our website.

will contact you as soon as possible by email or text message to notify
you and will offer you:
